Let me share some tools / advices to create ‘one new culture’!


Don’t create a blaming-culture!

Of course, when different companies merge there will be bugs, misunderstandings and prejudices in the beginning. Don’t blame a person, department or country by pointing your finger, because every time you point your finger, 3 fingers are pointing at yourself!


Try to understand before being understood!

First listen without prejudices and with the necessary empathy (prejudices are the imbecile’s truth)!

Ask questions and then do the maximum to support and help your colleagues.


Give and ask for feedforward!

Feedback is per definition ‘talking about the past’. We don’t need thermostats. Ask your people to give feedforward because we all have to reinvent our job!


Look for accelerators!

Identify men and women in your international teams who think and act differently!

You can call them ‘accelerators’ or ‘culture ambassadors’, men and women who spread the good word, stimulating people to develop positive behaviour, motivating people to share and celebrate success stories.

In french they say ‘rien ne se perd, rien ne se gagne, tout se construit !

Which means : nothing is set in stone. If everybody is working for the whole company, you can face every challenge!


The impact on the audience when you speak different languages during your performance is that you connect with the different cultures in an incredible way, it enhances the cohesion!
